I recently purchased and read Mr. Marshalls book.
While not a professed expert fisherman by no means I have been fishing since my teens. I was mostly a hook,dobber and worm guy. Reading Mr. Marshalls book opened up a new horizon for me with the use of surface and subsurface lures as well as understanding fishing from a fish's perspective and where my best chances are to catch one.
As I read the book I found it covered the beginner through the advanced fisherperson(women can fish too!).
The writing was done in simple to understand laypersons terms and I give 2 thumbs up to this well done instructional fishing book.

An excellent fishing book with plenty of valuable information and good advice. Methods and techniques described by Mr. Marshall in this wonderful book can be successfully used in many other fishing situations and locations in addition to the Connecticut River.
